Rules of Procedure of the Standing Committees of the Judicial Council (new wording)
The Committee on Budget and Investment shall prepare or discuss in advance matters falling within the competence of the Judicial Council concerning the financing of the judiciary, the organisation of the centralised supply of the courts, the handover of court buildings, investment projects carried out by the National Courts Administration, and other international assistance projects to meet the needs of the courts, as well as, in cooperation with the Committee on Judicial Administration, matters concerning the model structures of the courts and the posts to be created in the judiciary and the funding thereof.

By Order No 6P-97-(1.1.E) of 31 October 2024 of the National Courts Administration, Ms Jurgita Savickienė, Head of the Strategic Planning Division of the National Courts Administration, was appointed as the Curator of the Budget and Investment Committee.
The Information Technology Committee shall prepare or discuss in advance matters falling within the competence of the Judicial Council concerning the modernisation, development and use of information systems used by the courts.

By Order No 6P-97-(1.1.E) of 31 October 2024 of the National Courts Administration, the Director of the Technology and Resource Management Department of the National Courts Administration, Ms Aurelija Venslovė, was appointed as the curator of the Information Technology Committee.

The Communication Committee shall prepare or discuss in advance the issues falling within the competence of the Judicial Council concerning the judicial communication strategy and the plan of measures for its implementation, the training of judges in the field of communication, as well as, if necessary, the issues concerning the public relations of the judicial system, the appeals to the journalists' self-governing bodies concerning the publication of information in the public domain that is misleading or offensive to the judiciary and the judges.

By Order No 6P-97-(1.1.E) of 31 October 2024 of the National Courts Administration, Ms Rūta Andriuškaitė, Head of the Communications Division of the National Courts Administration, was appointed as the curator of the Communications Committee.

The Committee on Training and International Relations shall prepare or discuss in advance matters falling within the competence of the Judicial Council concerning the organisation of training of judges, the preparation of basic training programmes, the drawing up of a plan for the basic training of judges, and the priorities for centralised training for civil servants and contract staff of the courts, international training priorities for judges and civil servants and contract staff of the judiciary, the development of the international cooperation of the Judicial Council, the participation of the Judicial Council or entities of the judiciary in international projects, the delegation of representatives of the judiciary to international institutions, committees, working groups and delegations.

The Judicial/Courts Administration Committee shall prepare or discuss in advance matters falling within the competence of the Judicial Council concerning the administration of the courts, such as the number of judicial assistants and other staff, the workload of the courts, the security of the courts, economic matters, etc., as well as, in cooperation with the Committee on Budgets and Investments, matters concerning the model structures and posts of the courts, and the financing of the courts.

By Order No 6P-97-(1.1.E) of 31 October 2024 of the National Courts Administration the Head of the Courts Activities Division of the National Courts Administration, Ms Rimantė Valkavičienė, has been appointed as a curator of the Committee on Judicial/Courts Administration.

The Committee for Drafting and Evaluation of Draft Legislation shall prepare or discuss in advance draft legislation submitted to the Judicial Council for approval or endorsement by the National Courts Administration, the working groups established by the Judicial Council, and the courts, as well as prepares or discusses in advance the draft opinions prepared by the National Courts Administration on the drafts of draft legislation drawn up by other bodies, and issues related to legislative initiatives submitted to the Judicial Council for endorsement or approval.
